A life without adventure is as bland as stale bread. A story without conflict is the same. The simplest explanation of story conflict is this. A character wants something. But something stands in their way of getting it. This workshop unpacks the 2 key ingredients of all compelling story conflict: DESIRE vs OBSTACLES. You'll also learn the different levels of conflict in a story, from  internal (thoughts, feelings and fears), interpersonal (relationship dynamics) and extrapersonal (nature, society, supernatural). We also unpack how story conflict can be the best vehicle to reveal character. And how to use conflict to reflect the themes of your story.
